MetaModel is an integrated application for developing, running, and visualizing mathematical models, simulations, and general programs. It features MML (Meta Modeling Language), a simple but powerful programming language which is easy to learn and use for both programmers (with a syntax similar to Java and C++) and non-programmers alike. MetaModel allows complex programs to be developed in just a few lines of code and run through the built-in interpreter. It allows users to dynamically interact with their programs using an event-based system. GUI controls can be created which are linked to model parameters, then combined with dynamic plotting and 3D graphics, the model can be visualized as these parameters are tweaked. The integrated 3D systems allows primitives and complex meshes to be visualized with texturing, shadows, lighting, and more, without the usual complexities associated with 3D programming. The code editor features syntax coloring and error highlighting which makes spotting and fixing syntax errors and bugs easy. MetaModel includes multiple example programs which demonstrate how to use the features described above.
